Fowl Forty One is a collective of friends and artists drawn together by a shared love of storytelling, exploration, and intentional creativity.
Our name — Fowl Forty One — carries both a literal and symbolic meaning. It refers to the 41 birds we’ve committed to finding and following across the United States — a personal and collective challenge that blends travel, observation, and reflection. To “follow the fowl” is to pursue the elusive, to pay attention, and to let the journey shape the story.
This challenge isn’t just about birds. It’s about movement, discovery, and staying open to surprise — in ourselves and in the world. Each bird, each encounter, becomes a piece of the larger narrative we’re building together.
Through spoken word and performance, we use this project to explore identity, belonging, and the shared experience of navigating unfamiliar ground. We believe in the power of words to shift perspectives, hold complexity, and connect people across distance and difference.
